Pedestrian Road Marking Lighting

One of the areas of our activity that is gaining popularity is projection signage, road marking lighting, and pedestrian crosswalk lighting, as well as road safety signs.

Road markings or indicators using projection equipment have specific approaches when it comes to gobo projectors. The issue lies in different objects of illumination. I will explain separately for each of them:

Pedestrian Crosswalk Projection – The goal is to highlight the pedestrian crossing process, while the illumination of the actual crosswalk is secondary but equally important.

Gobo projectors take a significantly different approach to enhancing road safety. The illumination of safety objects, such as pedestrians or cyclists, helps reduce road traffic accidents on poorly lit sections of roads with unregulated pedestrian crossings.

Illumination significantly increases visibility and allows drivers to evaluate the distance to the crosswalk and notice pedestrians crossing. As pedestrians move through the projection pedestrian crosswalk, they start to flicker, as can be seen in the video. This makes them more visible to drivers, who are forced to brake. This effect can be observed at distances of up to 150 meters, which is sufficient for braking in any weather.

This is the main difference in the use of gobo projectors in this context.

Illumination of Service Signs – For example, road marking 1.31 in the Road Traffic Rules of Ukraine, as shown in the video, aims to perfectly illuminate the service sign directly on the road surface, making it impossible to miss.

New projection road markings are displayed using LED projectors with colored filters, which are visible in any weather during dark hours. The equipment installed above the pedestrian crossing creates a bright light corridor. LED lamps from above duplicate the pedestrian road marking, which will be visible from a distance and will not wear off over time due to external factors. Under adverse weather conditions, this marking is visible for more than 150 meters and performs exceptionally well in winter when it is impossible to renew thermoplastic or paint.

 

 

Projection today means:

It doesn't harm building facades.

It doesn't require the installation of bulky structures. The light beam doesn't affect the surface. No need to lay cables. Simply turning off the projector is enough for the building facade to return to its previous appearance.

Cost Savings

Projection advertising is much cheaper than traditional outdoor advertising and even more so than high-tech options like LED panels or large-capacity digital projectors. It operates without climate control equipment.

It's visible, bright, unusual, creative, and especially attention-grabbing! That's how you can describe stencil gobo projection. The areas for projection won't go unnoticed!

High Resource Efficiency

The projector features an aluminum, sealed housing, glass optics, and GREE/OSRAM LEDs. It has a high level of protection against environmental factors (IP65). The LED's lifespan is 70,000 hours (equivalent to 7 years of continuous operation!).
